Brush Your Teeth Twice a Day
We aren’t asking you to take your toothbrush to work with you (even though it’s a good idea) or to even give up sugar, but if you don’t already, make sure that you brush your teeth at least twice a day. Brushing your teeth is a great way for you to fight off cavities, gum disease, bad breath, and a host of other oral issues as well.
Try a Water Flosser
Dr. Peterson recommends water flossers to patients who either have a track record of never flossing or for patients who have braces or retainers. If you have never tried a water flosser, you’re in for a treat. By using pressurized water, these flossers work to get food and bacteria out of your teeth.
Get Regular Cleanings
An easy resolution for you to make is to get regular dental cleanings. The American Dental Association recommends that patients get their teeth cleaned every six months which means that if you haven’t had your teeth cleaned in a while, it’s time.
