"I used to hide my mouth or talk sideways or didn’t talk at all. I used to hide from being photographed, but now I’m not afraid to have my picture taken. I never smiled, and now I smile all the time. I’m more friendly and outgoing. My boss always tells everyone, ‘Just look at those teeth. Look at her smile. I want to do that to my teeth.’ People comment on how my smile takes me over. Marilyn was unhappy with the spaces between her teeth. She considered orthodontics, but did not want to have braces for the two years it would require to correct her spaces. She came to our office near Salt Lake City, Utah, and we placed Empress porcelain veneers on her eight front teeth. By paying close attention to size and proportion, as well as some changes to her gums with cosmetic dentistry, we were able to create the illusion that her teeth had been moved. What a difference it made in her smile!
