Laser Gum Contouring, Laser Gum Shaping
Healthy gum tissue complements and frames your teeth. If your gums are well contoured, your teeth and smile will look healthier. Not all lasers are the same. It is not uncommon for dental offices to have diode lasers. While these lasers have benefits, they are limited to a small range of applications for the soft tissue inside the mouth. If your gum tissue becomes red and swollen, this can make your teeth and smile look unhealthy and unattractive.
If your teeth look too small or too short because of the disproportionate size relationship between your teeth and gums, you may consider laser gum contouring. This can make your teeth look like they are out of line or give them a flat appearance. Laser gum contouring can remove the excess gum tissue around your teeth in order to expose more of the crown of your tooth. Gum contouring can also be used if your gums are uneven around your teeth.
Gum contouring can give you a consistent, even gum line you need for a healthy and attractive smile. Most of the time it is done in conjunction with veneers, but occasionally no other treatment than the contouring is required.
At Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry we utilize two highly sophisticated medical lasers. ErYay and NdYay crystal lasers in a variety of settings and delivery methods.
